Honey, I'm home! [ roy's voice rings out, ] Quit flexing at yourself in the mirror and come show me your gear.

( does he look like he flexes to you? maybe a smidgen. but not much. roy walks in through the door and jason's--standing in the kitchen with a glass of water in hand, fully decked out. there are new (futuristic) guns strapped to his thighs, the usual cargo pants, several additional knives on top of what he usually carries around, and a tight fitting tank with fabric that's thicker than usual. )

What'd you bring back?

[ by full gear do we mean hood too? because if so, roy wants to know how he was drinking that water a second ago and/or would like a demonstration. ]

Little of this, little of that. [ he's answering as he plops the box onto the kitchen counter, pulling out a few things - a lot of disembodied parts, wiring, circuit boards, computer chips. roy shoves his hands into it and pulls out a mess of tangled nonsense that looks like the spaghetti monster went scifi and shrunk small enough to become roy's personal shop pet.

so anyway, about that gear - he lets out a low whistle, coming around the counter to give jason the full once-over, head to toe. ]

Lookin' sharp, Hood. You gonna give it a runway walk? A twirl, at least?

[reneger]

( no hood on, just his usual domino mask. the hood's sitting on the kitchen counter, catch loose enough for roy to be able to make out where it is and the tech that makes the id scrambler function on display through the opening. )

Sorry, Harper. You're the one who decided to miss out on the strip tease. I can take all this off for you, if it'll make you feel better.

( for now he's taking another drink out of his glass, thank you. )

[ badass as jason looks, roy makes a beeline for the hood, grabby hands already picking it up and inspecting the tech inside as he babbles. ]

Is that another hidden strip tease opportunity? I'm never telling you what to do with clothes again.

[ there needs to be a warning when there's a possibility for a strip tease, okay, it's just cruel to tell him he missed it after the fact, jason!! ]

( roy earns himself a laugh; a little louder than when jason fakes it. )

An old friend designed it. Used the blueprints from Morningstar's ID scramblers as a basis for what he needed it to do, then completely redesigned it.

[ anytime roy gets a not-fake laugh from jason, it's a win, and he's wearing a smirk on his lips despite the shit he's being (rudely!!) given, reflected in the dome of the hood he's caressing like a magic crystal ball now. ]

Ooh, I'm gonna need some alone time with this later. [ he means to take the tech apart and learn it, so he can copy it and make more, but you wouldn't guess it from the way he's stroking the top of the helmet like an evil mastermind with a cat.

the hood also gives him something else to stare at that isn't lingering on jason's toned, bare arms hanging out of that tank. it's far from the first time he's seen jason even shirtless, and let's be real, he always looks good in his gear, that ain't news, roy. a proper inspection of it is still needed, though, so roy sets the hood back on the counter and paces a semi-circle around jason and his new heroing outfit. it's real nice to look at, sure, but is it going to keep his bro alive? he pokes a finger at the thicker tank fabric stretched over jason's abs a couple times. ]

What's the material here? Fireproof, bulletproof, laser or whatever proof?

[ who knows what kind of ammo you have to defend against in the super-future now. reaching down, roy snags one of jason's futuristic thigh guns from its holster, turning it over in his hands. ]
